SECTION 5 OPERATING FUNDS
This is a report on May 27 CPO meeting held to
discuss the allocation of U.M.T.A. Section 5
transit funds. San Diego proposed a formula
which would result in the North County receiving
only 3%. It is recommended that the Board, in
concert with the North County cities, the County,
other cities and agencies actively seek our fair
share of funding.
B. It is recommended that the Board request
changing to either a lower fare box percentage in
areas under 600 persons per square mile or
reducing the funding by a percentage equal to the
percentage under the legislated minimum.
C.
