NORTH COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT <br />NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT BOARD <br />May 6, 1976 <br />TO: North San Diego County Transit Development Board Members <br />FROM: John Jontig <br />Information Item - No Action Required <br />SUBJECT: Escondido - North County Transit <br />Discussions and exchanges of information between North County Transit <br />and officials of the City of Escondido are progressing well. <br />Meetings have been held with the Mayor, a Councilman and the City <br />Manager. Further meetings are being scheduled with additional City <br />officials and Civic organizations. <br />Preliminary discussions indicate a report showing what the City of <br />Escondido will or will not be able to do once the city becomes <br />affiliated with North County Transit would be helpful. It is anti- <br />cipated that the benefits to Escondido will outweigh any disadvantages. <br />Agenda Item A <br />
